Details
The RKI 33-7128 is a benzene pre-filter tube designed for use with the GX-6000 and GX-6100 multi-gas detectors. It selectively removes interfering hydrocarbons and contaminants, allowing the PID (Photoionization Detector) on the device to take benzene-specific readings.
These are specialized pre-filter tubes designed to protect downstream air sampling equipment by removing interfering compounds before collecting benzene samples on a primary sorbent tube. Contain a selective sorbent that removes non-target hydrocarbons and other contaminants that could interfere with the accurate measurement of benzene during air sampling. Used in conjunction with primary sampling tubes and pumps. Essential for accurate industrial hygiene monitoring in petrochemical plants, refineries, and environments where benzene exposure is a concern, ensuring sample integrity by eliminating cross-sensitivities from other volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
How it Works:
When utilizing the "Benzene Select" mode on the RKI GX-6000, the sample is drawn through the 33-7128 tube. The selective sorbent media strips away other VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) that might normally cause false positives, delivering a highly accurate, benzene-specific measurement.
