Moldex® 2300N95 Particulate Respirator with Exhale Valve – Medium/Large, 10 per Box

Product Overview

The Moldex 2300N95 Disposable Particulate Respirator with Exhale Valve combines N95 particulate filtration with a durable molded design engineered for demanding industrial environments.

NIOSH certifies the Moldex 2300N95 to provide 95% or greater filtration efficiency against particulate aerosols free of oil. It is certified under 42 CFR Part 84 with NIOSH approval number TC-84A-0328.

One of the key advantages of the 2300N95 is its exhalation valve. During physically demanding work, heat and moisture can build up inside a disposable respirator. The valve allows exhaled air to escape more easily, helping workers stay cooler and more comfortable.

Moldex's exclusive Dura-Mesh® shell protects the filter media and helps the respirator maintain its shape. Unlike softer disposable respirators that may collapse from heat and humidity, the molded shell is designed to remain stable in demanding workplace conditions. This durability can help extend usable wear time and reduce unnecessary respirator replacement.

The molded nose bridge seals without requiring a metal noseband, while the soft foam nose cushion and naturally contoured facepiece help reduce pressure points. Moldex also incorporates a Softspun® lining for additional comfort and durability.

The 2300N95 is Medium/Large and is packaged 10 respirators per box. Moldex also manufactures Small (2301N95) and Low Profile (2307N95) versions of the 2300 Series.

Why Choose the Moldex 2300N95?

Disposable respirators are often worn during physically demanding jobs where heat, humidity, dust, and exertion can make respiratory protection uncomfortable.

The Moldex 2300N95 is specifically designed to address these conditions.

The exhalation valve helps move warm exhaled air out of the respirator, while the Dura-Mesh shell maintains the respirator's shape in hot and humid environments. Together, these features make the 2300N95 particularly useful for workers performing grinding, sanding, machining, polishing, sweeping, bagging, quarrying, and similar dusty industrial tasks.

Comfort is also built into the design. Rather than relying on an adjustable metal nose clip, Moldex uses a molded nose bridge combined with a soft foam nose cushion. The naturally contoured facepiece is designed to reduce pressure points while the Softspun lining provides a softer surface against the face.

N95 Particulate Protection

The Moldex 2300N95 is NIOSH certified under 42 CFR Part 84 and provides a filter efficiency of at least 95% against non-oil-based particulates.

It may be appropriate for workplace exposures involving certain:

  • Dusts
  • Non-oil mists
  • Grinding particles
  • Sanding dust
  • Metal machining particulates
  • Quarry dust
  • Cement dust
  • Textile particles
  • Poultry dust
  • General non-oil industrial particulates

Respirator selection must always be based on the actual hazard, concentration, exposure limit, required assigned protection factor, fit-testing requirements, and the employer's respiratory protection program.

Exhalation Valve for Hot Work Environments

The integrated exhalation valve is one of the strongest selling points of the 2300N95.

As the wearer exhales, the valve helps warm air exit the respirator, reducing hot-air buildup and breathing resistance during exhalation. Moldex specifically positions the 2300N95 for hot, humid and dusty work environments.

This can make the 2300N95 an attractive option for physically demanding industrial tasks where worker comfort affects respirator acceptance and consistent use.

Dura-Mesh® Shell

Moldex's exclusive Dura-Mesh shell protects the filter media and helps the respirator maintain its shape, even under hot and humid conditions.

Maintaining the molded shape can also make the respirator easier to handle between periods of use and helps prevent the facepiece from collapsing inward during demanding work.

Ideal Applications

  • Grinding
  • Sanding
  • Sweeping
  • Bagging
  • Metal machining
  • Stone quarrying
  • Cement operations
  • Underground mining
  • Polishing
  • Buffing
  • Lime processing
  • Poultry operations
  • Textile manufacturing
  • Soldering
  • Brazing
  • Certain welding applications
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Industrial maintenance

Moldex specifically identifies many of these applications for the 2300N95, provided oil aerosols are not present and the respirator is appropriate for the specific exposure.

Important Respirator Safety Information

The Moldex 2300N95 is an N95 particulate respirator and is not intended for protection against gases or vapors.

NIOSH limitations state that the respirator is not for use in atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen, is not for IDLH atmospheres, and must not be used above applicable maximum-use concentrations.

Because this model has an exhalation valve, it should also not be assumed to provide source-control performance where unfiltered exhaled air is unacceptable.

Workers required to wear tight-fitting respirators occupationally must follow applicable respiratory-protection requirements, including medical evaluation, training and fit testing where required.
