All ALTAIR® 5X PID Multigas Detectors manufactured prior to September 2023 will require a firmware update prior to using the new PID sensor, 10242735. This update must be performed on each device.

For customers with detectors within the three-year warranty period, this will be covered as an in-warranty service by an MSA service center or an MSA authorized channel partner.
