Dunlop® Explorer Thermo+ Full Safety Boot with Vibram Sole.

(NOTE: Not recommended for working on rigs with steel decks that have oil based mud)

The boots feature a protective steel toecap and mid-sole for offering maximum protection against falling and penetrating objects. Tested and certified in accordance with the EN ISO 20345:2011 standard, the built-in protective toecap serves to protect the toes from impacts of an energy level of 200 J and a compression at a load of 15 kN. The protective mid-sole is positioned in the sole and penetration is prevented until a force of 1100 N. Dunlop boots with a protective toecap and midsole are labelled as Full Safety.

Natural resources exploration involves many industries and functions, however all have the same requirements of safety coupled with high-quality materials and excellent service. The new Dunlop® Explorer combines the benefits of high pressure PU Purofort® in the iconic Thermo+ boot with the established slip qualities of a rubber sole, provided by the market leader Vibram®.

Oh man these boots are the diggity, I got wide feet an they fit an feel great right out the box, way way better than a pair of "airlock" boots I got. An the tread pattern is nice lots of good compliments, little slippery in OBM but not complaining one bit, highly recommend to anyone in the oilfield!

      Friggin awesome

I bought a size too big to accomodate boot sokkets over thin socks that wick moisture away from my feet otherwise my feet get cold on the water culling oysters with only wool socks. I figured they would be much more clunky and sorta in the way, so far they havent been. Certainly clunky but i dont feel like herman munster wearing them. The traction is superior to that on the other dunlop boots I own. I Have only put about 60 hours on them so far, but my other dunlops are bulletproof...bought them for work on the water...wearing them on land now too.

      Great boots!

Posted by Shawn on Nov 10th 2016

I work in the natural gas industry. I need a pair of comfortable boots that will keep my feet dry and warm. These boots have been great. It hasn't been that cold since I bought the boots but in temp around 30 degrees F my feet are warm. I have warn them in temps as high as 65 and my feet don't get all sweaty either. I highly recommend these boots.

These are the most comfortable boots in the world. Keep your feet warm in the winter and not too hot in the summer. The best boot for oil and gas. Last forever
